As of May 4, 2020 at 11:49 p.m. MDT, the current North Node/South Node (aka Lunar Nodes) have moved away from their 19-month journey through Cancer/Capricorn, beginning their newest 19-month journey through Gemini/Sagittarius - beginning at the Fated, End of an Era 29th degrees of those signs. We have no choice - we MUST go through this door.
The last time the North Node was in Gemini & South Node in Sagittarius was post 9/11 - October 2001 - April 2003. Interesting contrast, isn't it?
The North Node represents a sensitive point in the birth chart, the Soul direction we the Collective are meant to head into. Compared to the South Node, where we bring forth skills & talents from Past Lives (natural talents we may have forgotten about!) AND any unresolved issues that will be coming forth these next 19 months TO BE Resolved as best we can! The Ego-self would rather head into the South Node direction because it's used to being there - it's safe & familiar.
There can, & will be, resistance Within to go into the North Node direction - here we'll find ourselves challenged & perhaps need to deal with fear, anxiety or frustration - because we've not had a lot of experience here. Those of you born with your Lunar Nodes in Gemini/Sagittarius will be particularly affected!
According to Elizabeth Spring's North Node Astrology book, here's the Soul Purpose (Gemini) & Shadow (Sagittarius) areas we'll all be working through until January 18, 2022:
Soul Purpose/Gemini: "It's important for you to immerse yourself in the fullness & chaos of life; indulging your curiousities, being a communicator & daring to risk your security for a life of adventure, both inner & outer. In telling your Truth & your stories skillfully, with objectivity & reflection, you awaken others to great insight. Communication is a key, but communication is not limited to words alone; it is inherent in the arts, healing practices & in the "act of loving" in relationships."
Shadow/Sagittarius: "Your default pattern of letting your enthusiasm override your empathic listening, combined with a philosophic "know it all" attitude, could blind you to life's complexities & wonders. If you are addicted to certainty, you will deny truths or experiences that run counter to your expectations & belief. Allow room for dialog & relationships that challenge you to expand your concepts of "how it all is".
We need to bring in the gems from that South Node of the past - the wisdom gained from "before" - to mix them in with whatever the NEW is that we'll be learning, gleaning these next 19 months. Interestingly, Gemini rules the 3rd House of our local community, whereas Sagittarius rules the 9th House of our global community. We'll all be focusing more on the local vs. global arena. Ensure to stop & share what you're learning, thinking - share that wisdom & knowledge - don't hoard it!
It will be interesting to "see" how these next 19 months turn out. Local travel vs. long-distance travel? Local community vs. global? During this current pandemic & quarantine/isolation time, even though we're beginning to hear about possible staged "return to normal" times, it will be interesting to see how much of "normal" will indeed be returned.
The themes of what we've just completed via the Lunar Nodes moving through Cancer & Capricorn can be summed up thusly: Choosing to DO because we FEEL like it, not out of Duty & Necessity - choosing family/nurturing over ambition. Creating a better balance between the hamster wheel of work work work or the isolation of now.
Interestingly, the Lunar Nodes move backwards through each Zodiac sign, beginning at that Fated 29th degree, ending at the 00 degree - where we, after 19 months of learning, do indeed herald in a NEW ERA! We've learned to accept leaving behind that hamster wheel for spending time with family, being more nurturing with self & others. BEing rather than DOing. AND moving through how we're feeling, listening to our Intuition as to Next Steps forward.
Now that this current RESET period is most likely coming to an end, slowly, we'll be weighing & measuring, sorting through all the upcoming outpouring of information, data to discern, critically, what's True, what's disinformation or misinformation. Be grounded while taking it all in; BE curious to understand ALL the facts; then decide what is TRUE for You. Trust how you feel, & follow your Intuition that you've learned to trust these past 19 months! Namaste
